The Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber has many opportunities for you to impact the growth of the Cedar Valley economy and improve our civic life. Our task forces and committees work to achieve various goals related to business and educational events and programs.  Working on a task force is an effective way to get your business noticed and to contribute to the business environment in the Cedar Valley. The following task forces are seeking involvement from business people like you! 

Annual Celebration Task Force

• 

  Goal: To plan and conduct the annual celebration for the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber. This event is attended by over 600 people and recognizes Cedar Valley businesses with several different awards.

Government Affairs Committee

• 

  Goal: The Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber is the One Voice for Cedar Valley business to work with local, state, and federal governments. The main focus of Government Relations activity is economic growth and business climate improvement. Throughout the year, the Alliance & Chamber tracks and brings to your attention issues that have an impact on your bottom line.

Golf Classic Task Force

  Goal: To provide opportunity for business exposure through sponsorships and networking with other chamber members at the annual Golf event.

Strictly Business Expo Task Force

• 

  Goal: To showcase the services and products of the Greater Cedar Valley Chamber's members to Northeast Iowa. This is done at the annual "Strictly Business Expo," an event allowing Alliance & Chamber investors to showcase their business to the community.

  Co-Chair: Grant Gubbrud, Isle Casino Hotel Waterloo

Total Resource Campaign

• 

  Goal: To raise the funding for our Alliance & Chamber programs for the entire year. A TRC markets sponsorships of Alliance & Chamber programs, events, publications and electronic media and recruits new investors. The TRC is held each year from September through November.

  Chair: Dave Krejchi, Dalton Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling

Wing Ding Task Force

• 

  Goal: To plan and organize the "Wing Ding" event , a fun community event attended by over 2,000 people each year in September. The task force oversees all aspects of this event including food vendors, entertainment, volunteers and event logistics.

Diversity and Inclusion

• 

  Goal: The committee consists of members from The Cedar Valley business community who are dedicated to uncovering and realizing opportunities that promote the business case and the impact of diversity and inclusion in the Cedar Valley. The committee implements a variety of initiatives designed to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace, such as diversity-focused publications, special events and educational seminars.
